ROLAND MMP-2 ANALOG MIC PREAMP WITH DIGITAL MIC MODELING.
This mic preamp is in excellent condition cosmetically and in 100% working condition. This auction includes the preamp and power cord. No other accessories are included. Software for this unit can be downloaded from Roland's website.
The Roland MMP-2 offers new features not found on any other microphone preamp?like COSM Preamp and Mic modeling, four bands of fully parametric EQ, modeled tube compression, an enhancer and de-esser-plus ultra-intuitive control software for your Mac or PC. And the sound quality rivals that of preamps costing hundreds more, thanks to superb-quality analog circuits and 24-bit/96kHz A/D conversion making the MMP-2 an indispensable tool for recording microphones and acoustic instruments.
The MMP-2 from Roland combines two high-quality analog mic preamps with digital EQ, dynamics, and physical modelling effects. Plus, you can choose to control it from its front panel or from a computer via USB.
Whilst the majority of mic preamps are all-analogue affairs, Roland's MMP2 utilises much of the physical modelling effects technology developed in their VS and VM-series products, presenting it all in a compact silver box with chunky illuminated buttons. This two-channel unit provides a pair of balanced microphone inputs plus a stereo S/PDIF digital input, with two balanced (XLR) analogue line outputs, S/PDIF and AES-EBU digital outputs, and a USB socket. Only the front end and the line outputs are in the analogue domain — everything else is digital.
