From an Estate Sale of 1940's-1990's CHINA, GLASS, DECORATIVE COLLECTIBLES & VANITY  ACCESSORIES, we offer SIX INTERESTING MOUTH BLOWN FREE & MOLD BLOWN SCENT BOTTLES. Includes:
*****#1 - 3" high by 1 1/4" wide barrel shaped empty perfume bottle with FANCY CONCAVE CUPPED CUT STOPPER(see photos #4-5). Appears to be a 3/8 Fl Oz size. UNIDENTIFIED MAKER.
*****#2 - 3 3/8" high by 3 1/8" wide by 2" deep MOLD BLOWN PINK GLASS empty perfume bottle with PINK ATOMIZER - oval shape with ground flat underside(see photos# 2-3).  Flared out panels with raised "ridge" on each side. Might be 1 Fl Oz size? UNIDENTIFIED MAKER
COMMENT: perfume bottles are usually embosssed with the name of the Country of origin. For the two unidentified bottles above, unless these were made prior to 1894(which we do nor believe is the case), they are probably not foreign made but by an American Manufactory during the 1920's-1950's? Definitiely used for perfume because the scent is still there.
*****#3 - ELIZABETH TAYLOR  "WHITE DIAMONDS" .12 Fl Oz(37 ml)  PERFUME(COULD BE FULL BOTTLE BUT WE SHALL CALL IT 95% FULL WITH PERFUME) in a 2" high by 1" diameter mold blown barrel shaped  bottle with GOLD TONE "BOW" STOPPER(PHOTO# 11). Bottle with plastic film gold printed "Parfum .12 Fl Oz(37 ml) Parfums International NY E. Arden Wien". Box with printed inscription of "White Diamonds Elizabeth Taylor Parfum .12 fl oz(37 ml)" & "Distributed in USA by Parfums International New York Made in USA".
*****#4 - CARTIER "PANTHERE"(= "big cat") 2 1/4" high by 1 5/8" wide by 3/4" deep WIDE MINI 4ml SAMPLE EMPTY PERFUME BOTTLE(SEE PHOTOS# 6-7) with a round clear perfume flask within a footed BLACK(what appears to be BAKELITE) ENCLOSURE having 2 large black cats(black panthers?) - clear perfume flask with scribed cross hatching around perimeter on front & back with the front crosshatching "frame" having GOLD LETTERED "Perfum Panthere de Cartier 4 ml" within.  Underside of black bakelite with "NOT FOR SALE" inscription;
*****#5 - AVON "DEEP WOODS" 6 1/4" long by 3 1/2" high by 2 1/4" FIGURAL "UNCLE SAM" MILK GLASS BOTTLE(empty) in ORIGINAL BOX that held 3 fl. oz. of SCENTED AFTER SHAVE LOTION(SEE PHOTO#12) - a plastic stem/mouthpiece that screws into the milk glass bottle, serves as a stopper for the scent bottle - when assembled, the two pieces give the appearance of a meerschaum pipe. Avon embossed mark on milk glass and Avon gummed label on underside.
*****#6 - GUERLAIN "SHALIMAR" 7 1/8" high by 5" wide(diameter of circular body = 5") 6 FL. OZ. EMPTY PERFUME BOTTLE  WITHOUT ORIGINAL PAPER LABEL(SEE PHOTOS# 8-10). Cone shaped stopper and gold imprinted plastic label bear bottom stating: "Guerlain, Inc. Distributor New York, NY Net Cont. 6 fl oz". Underside with EMBOSSED "Guerlain & Bottle Made in France".
CONDITION: this group of six items, other than the Guerlain Shalimar bottle is in excellent condition without any cracks, chips, dents, dings or staining. Very little use/wear indicated - gold lettering on Cartier bottle almost completely intact; on the Avon bottle, the adhesive paper band going around Uncle Sam's hat has a bit of creasing; and, on the pink bottle with atomizer, the gold tone metal mount has a bit of tarnish/wear. Elizabeth Taylor and Avon boxes are in good condition with only a bit of wear/creasing.
Guerlain Shalimar bottle: the stopper on this bottle was "frozen" in the neck. Like a dummy, I tried to gently free the stopper using a screwdriver to pry it up(you think I would know better after 20 years of playing with glass). Well, you can guess the result: stress fracture and crack running from top rim/lip down 1 1/4" into neck(see last two photos) - fracture is completely smooth at top of body going up the neck until the top rim/lip, which has some roughness due to two cracks.
