    POD4 is a low noise dual microphone preamplifier. Two preamplifiers, Mic A and Mic B, each provide a direct and a switched output. A sum or mix output of Mic A and Mic B is also provided. The mix output is derived from the switched preamplifier outputs. Front panel controls and tallies include a phantom power switch and indicator, mute indicator, peak indicator and a screw driver trim gain control for each preamplifier. The mix output has a front panel volume control and peak indicator. Peak indicators are set to light at approximately +19dBu. Connections to POD4 are on the rear panel. Microphone inputs are via XLR(F) connectors, while outputs and external mute controls are on a screw terminal blocks. External mute control requires a closure to ground
